Mersel, Phoenix Skin Contact 2022

Mersel Wine are proud Lebanese winemakers; intertwining their culture with the wines they produce. Setting out with a vision to create wines that fit with the Lebanese character, they are made for everyone to enjoy, focusing on indigenous, ancient grape varieties grown & crafted with as little intervention as possible. Phoenix Skin Contact 2022 is made from 100% Merweh taken from vines which are a whopping 150 years old; the grapes were hand-harvested and then macerated on skins for 3 weeks. The nose is bright with aromas of citrus zest, green apple and a little nutty-spiciness. The palate is nicely textured with further tropical notes and a good lick of acidity to carry the long finish. An absolute cracker.
